Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it work on my hair and skin?

IPL targets pigment in the hair, so it only works on some combinations. It works on black, dark brown, medium brown and light brown hair, on white, ivory, beige or light brown skin. It will not work on white, grey, red or light blonde hair, and is not suitable for medium brown, dark brown or black skin.

Do I need to shave first?

Yes. Shave the area and make sure the skin is clean and dry before each session. A razor is included.

Where can't I use it?

Not over tattoos, moles or pigmented areas, not near the eyes, and not in the genital area. The upper lip and bikini line are fine. Don't use on skin tanned or sunburnt in the last four weeks.

How long until I see a difference?

IPL works over a course of sessions, not one. Expect to use it regularly for several weeks before judging results.

Who should not use this?

Don't use it over broken skin or if you are pregnant. If you have a skin condition, take photosensitising medication, or have any medical concern, check with your doctor first. Always wear the supplied goggles.
